Since 2001, IMEC has held five national policy seminars on topics relating to the academic achievement of migrant students.  After the IMEC membership identified critical issues in each topic for migrant students, the best experts in the nation were brought in to focus on this issue and give advice.  After the seminars, the IMEC membership developed recommendations relating to the identified issues.

 The reports are as follows:

• Seminar on Migrant Out-of-School Youth, "IMEC  Report" - Out-of-School Youth Proceedings Report 2002;
• Seminar on Migrant Parent and Family Involvement, “IMEC Report" - Research-Related Strategies To Implement No Child Left Behind, 2003;
• A Call For Action: Migrant Students And The High School Redesign Movement”, 2007
