Parents, please REGISTER your children for Field Day events.  You'll find the registration form below.  Please fill it in & bring it to school on Sunday.

Please help!  RCS needs VOLUNTEERS for Field Day this year:  Time keepers; vendor booth assigment coordinators; coordinators for the sack race; & one person who can make announcements in Chinese to run the P/A system for part of the afternoon.  We also need strong parents for the Tug of War event.  To volunteer for these positions, please contact RCS Field Day Coordinator Shyh-Han Tan at tshhst@verizon.net. 

RCS will have vending booth #6 this year.  We also need VOLUNTEERS to help prepare, serve & sell food.  To volunteer your help with the food, please contact Ms. Agnes Kiang at

RCS green T-SHIRTS will go on sale in the next two weeks before Field Day.  Parents, please check your children's T-shirts (if they have any) to see that they still fit.  The sizes available are: YOUTH small, medium, & large; & ADULT small, medium, large, & extra-large.

In the event of rain, Field Day will be held indoors at WCHS, in the indoor gymnasiums.

運動會 Field Day

       一年一度的校際運動會是每位小朋友最盼望的一項戶外活動, 校際運動會是由中文學校聯誼會主辦各校協辦,運動會的比賽項目很多,獎牌也很多.

Field Day is a fun day of outdoor activities, primarily track and field events, for students from several local Chinese schools.  Field Day is organized by area Chinese schools under the Greater Washington Chinese School Association.  Students from several of these schools participate in a variety of competitive outdoor sports activities such as races and a tug of war.

每年的校際運動會將於五月的第一個星期日舉行. 運動會的當日所有的文藝班停課,學生們將由老師們帶隊到指定的運動會會場集合. 本校將設有攤位義賣紅豆刨冰和茶葉蛋等等.  到時候我們將需要許多的義工,請和范維敏(301-424-0776)或家長會連絡.

Field Day occurs in the spring, typically on the first Sunday in May.  On Field Day, morning classes are held at Rockville Chinese School, but afternoon Cultural Arts School classes are cancelled.  Around noon, everyone heads for a local school’s athletic field (the site is determined each year).  There, RCS and other schools set up booths selling a variety of food and drink, trinkets, and school souvenirs.  Field Day activities last from lunchtime through the afternoon.
