Oh, My Goddess! - Volume 1: Wrong Number

The story starts with Keiichi Morisato who accidentally dialed the Goddess Technical Helpline and the Goddess Belldandy appeared in front of him, allowing him to grant one wish.  He asked for Belldandy to stay with him forever and that's exactly what happened.  Because his dorm was an all-male dorm, Keiichi was kicked out of his dorm and left him to find a new place for him and Belldandy to stay.  They ended up inspiring a monk to leave his temple in order to further his studies, leaving the temple for Keiichi and  Belldandyto stay in.  At Keiichi's university, the students and professors were curious about Belldandy but Belldandy, using her magic, managed to convince that she is registered at the university.  Toward the end of this book, we meet Megumi, Keiichi's sister, who came to stay at Keiichi's place while preparing for her college entrance exam.  Note: The drawing in this book is very different from the later Oh, My Goddess books.  The characters don't seem to look as good and the feel of the art is just very different.  I guess Kosuke Fujishima was just still at the stage of trying out and testing out the chracters' looks.

Oh, My Goddess! - Volume 3: Final Exam

Urd and Belldandy are excited to enter the Campus Queen Contest held by the Motor Club.  In this contest, each contestant is required to fix a bike following the instruction given. Sayoko tries to cheat by getting a guy to tell her which bike is the easiest to fix.  When Belldandy received the easiest bike, Sayoko begged her to give her that bike.  The contestants then had to find the person that is on the puzzle.  When Belldandy realizes that Keiichi is the person, she rushes to save him from the mob of girls and in turn wins the contest.

For Keiichi and Belldandy's first anniversary, Keiichi wants to find a perfect gift to show his appreciation.  He takes on various jobs so he can afford a ring for Belldandy.

Keiichi tries to win a raffle for dinner and a night's accommodation for Belldandy and himself.  With Belldandy's help, they win the raffle.  Keiichi doesn't have formal attire for the occasion and Sayoko offers him the attire if he takes her out for the night instead of Belldandy.  Of course Keiichi turned her down, but Sayoko and Urd both turned up at the restaurant and Urd made turkeys dance.  Keichii and Belldandy then run out of the restaurant to be together elsewhere.

For New Year, Keiichi throws a New Year's party and they all play a game like Life.  Urd fixed the game so Keiichi gets all the weird cards, and Belldandy got the demon of the game to win the game and get Keiichi out of his uncomfortable position.

Everyone finishes final exam early except for Keiichi.  The others wants to hang out with him but he needs to study.  Belldandy conjures up another Keiichi so the real Keiichi can sleep.  But Keiichi oversleeps and Urd sends the fake Keiichi to the final exam.  Belldandy had to sneak Keiichi in to take the test himself.

Toshiyuki Aoshima, Sayoko's cousin, joins the Motor Club so he can date Belldandy.  Aoshima eats Keiichi's lunch and Belldandy agreed to make lunch for Aoshima, also.  He takes Belldandy to a motel and when Belldandy realizes he has no good in mind, she blew him away and falls asleep, in time for Keiichi to find her.

Oh, My Goddess! - Volume 5: Sympathy for the Devil

Mara and Sayoko are in cahoots to use a balance of the hearts to make Belldandy disappear, and in turn, Keiichi's heart would be Sayoko's.  Thanks to Urd, the balance of the hearts was broken just in time before Belldandy was sent away.

For the New Year, Keiichi told Megumi to bring a hamaya, a "demon exorcising arrow".  Before Megumi reached Keiichi's apartment, Mara turns Megumi into a car, but Mara herself was zapped by the hamaya, causing her to lose her memory and becomes really nice.  The only way to return Megumi back to her normal self, the goddesses have to get Mara back as a demon.  Once Mara turned back, she becomes evil again, but the goddesses were ready with more lucky charms to force her to change Megumi back.

Nekomi Tech Motor Club needs money for a club house and enters a contest using Nekomi Four Wheels Club's invitation to the contest.  Seeking revenge, Nekomi Four Wheels Club sabotages Motor Club's car, which Belldandy will be the driver.  With Belldandy's magic, she gets the trolls in the engine to work and wins the contest.

Mara, trying to sabotage Keiichi and Belldandy again, switches the chocolate Belldandy plans to give to Keiichi with one that would turn him into a monster.  Not factoring into Urd's own secret plan, the switch was made more complicated, and the booster demons Mara used ended up eating the one that Urd made.  The booster monsters end up loving Belldandy and helped Belldandy rid of Mara.

Skuld, the younger sister of Urd and Belldandy, appears in the house and tells the others that she's having trouble debugging the mighty astral computer that maintains reality, Keiichi gets dragged through alternate reality while his house gets infected with bugs.

Oh, My Goddess! - Volume 6: Terrible Master Urd

Urd Goes Berserk in this book soon after her license was suspended for 50 years for lying.  Urd was transformed to "the Rightful Heir To The Lord of Terror" by Mara, a demon.  Here we found out that Urd, Belldandy, and Skuld all have different mothers, but share the same father, and that Urd has demon blood in her.  Belldandy was forced to battle Lord of Terror and at the same time try to return Urd back to normal, with the help of the All Mighty.  In the process, Keiichi was transformed into a demon also, and Belldandy had to somehow kill the Lord of Terror, which happens to be the "Ultimate Destruction Program" without killing Keiichi in the process.

Oh, My Goddess! - Volume 11: The Devil in Miss Urd

Keiichi won a free trip to a hot-springs resort and took all his 3 goddesses with him.  Once there, Demon First Class Mara pretended to be their friend and stole a strand of Urd's hair and used it to clone a 100% demonic Urd.  The demonic Urd tried to seduce Keiichi and Belldandy was brokenhearted thinking it was really Urd who kissed Keiichi.  There was a period of time that the group had trouble telling which is Urd is the good one and which is the demonic one. Thanks to Skuld, the identity was later revealed.  The demonic Urd wants to kill the goddesses and Belldandy was almost forced to hurt Urd, but Skuld built a robotic Urd who managed to catch the demonic Urd and got Urd back to her original form. The book ends with a chapter that preludes Skuld's robot, Banpei, has developed his own emotions as he used his own consiciously to choose to do good and help people.

Oh, My Goddess! - Volume 12: The Fourth Goddess

Keiichi accidentally (how, exactly, do these phone calls work?!) called up Peorth, and old friend and rival goddess of Belldandy.  Peorth refuses to leaev until Keiichi he asks for what his heart desires.  Peorth made a love potion from Urd's inventory and messed up the potion; all the women fall in love with Keiichi once they look at him - including his own sister!  Peorth tried many other attempts to get Keiichi to do the nasty with her but Keiichi never fell for it and Belldandy was always there to protect him.  In the end, Belldandy told Keiichi that she's on Earth because she wants to be with Keichii, not because of their contract.  This is what Keiichi's heart desires, and Peorth left him willingly.

Oh, My Goddess! - Volume 13: Childhood's End

Skuld learns to ride a bicycle and doesn't understand why Belldandy doesn't help herby prevent her from falling.  She then learns that Belldandy just wants her to find her own path when a boy she met at the park teachers her how to ride a bike.

Skuld starts her power training and learns that love is what give goddesses power.  She uses that power and turns Sentaro's bike into a brand new one.  Instead of being appreciative, Sentaro expressed his dismay.  Skuld realizes that each dent and scratches mean something ot Sentaro, (and they really have a crush on each other.)

Sayoko is possessed by a demon (Anki) that gets energy by devour one's ability to trust and believe.  Even though she sees botoh Belldandy and Urd's powers, she refuses to believe that they were real.  The goddesses have to find a way to make her believe or she'll die.  It wasn't until Sayoko falls from a building and Belldandy saves her that that Sayoko believes her super power, except that she thinks Belldandy is a witch, but the secret is safe with her.

Chihiro Fujimi, past Nekomi Tech Motor Club Director who both Tamiya and Otaki fear, shows up and decides to race against Keiichi and finds Keiichi a worthy opponent and a very good Director.  Chihiro realizes that her passion is to build things that she likes and want because it's fun.

Chihiro wants to reorganize the club house by cleaning up first, but they are lacking funds.  During the process, they find a treasure map and they decide to use find the treasure and maybe that would help with the club.  When they actually find the treasure, it was a box with two rings with Chihiro's name engraved on them.  It turns out that the rings were given to Chihiro by Tamiya and Otaki, who both wanted to date Chihiro, but Chihiro chose the club above both of them.

Keiichi finally finds a job to start right after graduation, after Urd gave him a new suit and a new haircut (with a long ponytail!).  But he finds out that he's one credit short on graduating and will be in school for another semester.  He lost that job but still needs a job.  Chihiro posts a job opening for a person who is exactly in his position and has his experiences.  Keiichi agrees to apply for the job.

Oh, My Goddess! - Volume 14: Queen Sayoko

The manga starts with Skuld swallowing Urd's Angel's egg by accident when she was just trying to spite her.  Her little angel got Skuld to kiss her friend and embarrassed her.  She commanded the angel that she'll have to return to her egg if she interferes again, and it did happen and the angel went back to her egg.  It's then concluded that Skuld's not ready for an angel, and she wears the egg around her neck until she's ready.  The second chapter was about Urd's flying bloom having a crush on Belldandy and would do anything for her.  Keiichi understands how the broom feels, but in the end, the bloom as just very girl crazy as it develops a crush on Megumi.  Last story is the main one.  Demon Mara got Sayoko to sell her soul and become the Campus Queen.  Everyone obeys Mara within the technical institute (now a castle) unless you are wearing a special ribbon made by Skuld.  The group has to go through several obstacles to get to Sayoko.  The author was pretty creative in what they had to go through; I enjoyed that part a bit.  In the end, when Sayoko wanted to go back to her normal life, and Mara wouldn't let her unless she tells Belldandy to "go home", Belldandy got into her mirror and left.  Keiichi thought Belldandy was gone forever, but when he got home, Belldandy was already there, as his home is now her home.

Oh, My Goddess! - Volume 16: Mystery Child

The Almighty calls Urd and Skuld back home to investigate a problem with the universe's time-management program.  While Belldandy and Keiichi are left alone, a mysterious little boy appears in the garden and seems to know Belldandy really well from somewhere.  Turns out that the boy, Velsper, is Belldandy's doublet - meaning Velsper is a demon and that if one dies, the other one dies, also,  Velsper was the one who tampered with the time management system, and unless Belldandy remembers who he is, time will stop and the world would be destroyed.  Belldandy remembers and Velsper is reicarnated into a black cat, which Belldandy named Velsper.

Oh, My Goddess! - Volume 18: The Phantom Racer

The Ghost of the Pass - Sora tells Belldandy that she seems to have seen a ghost on a dark country road at night and wants her to help.  Megumi wants to race this "Phantom Racer" but even she lost to the ghost apparition.  Keiichi and Belldandy are the next to race the ghost and toward the end of the race, it shows the couple an abandoned motorcycle.  It turns out that the Phantom Racer is the spirit to this motorcycle, and that it used to belong to Chihiro.  Chihiro appears and takes the motorcycle back so it'll be ridden again.

Meet Doctor Moreau - At Keiichi's technical school, a nutty professor nicknamed "Dr. Moreau" wants to create a autonomousbipedal walking machine.  When he discovered that Skuld has already built two, Banpei and the android that Banpei likes, he tricked the android into going to his laboratory.  Banpei hears the android's cry for help and goes to rescue her.  When the goddesses notices that the androids are not home, Keiichi and Belldandy rush to the laboratory but by then Banpei and the android have already stopped Dr. Moreau's madness.  Belldandy lectures the doctor that he shouldn't try to pull part the children and then she named the android, Sigel.

Oh, My Goddess! - Volume 19/20: Sora Unchained

Nekomi Tech Motor Club needs a new director and as the Sitting Director, Keiichi apppoints Sora as the new director.  With Sora's own protest along with the club members' protest, Sora refuses the appointment.  However, the bylaws said that "members designated by the director shall in principle be denied the right of refusal, however, the right of refusal is granted if and only if said designee wins a race against the the sitting director, terms and conditions set by Director Emeritus" (Chihiro).  Chihiro puts Belldandy on Sora's team and Keiichi is left alone to race against Sora and her team.  Other terms set by Chihiro all favor Sora but the race ended up in a tie, but Chihiro ruled Sora as the winner because Keiichi lost his nose cowl.  Sora then accepts her role as the new director.

Since this volume contains Volume 19 and 20, and Volume 19 is about Sora being the new director, Volume 20 would be what's left of the book, which is rather thin and is titled "Endless Battle, Part I and II".  Urd and Skuld competes to see who gets to pick which channel to watch on TV.  When Keiichi returns home with a new TV, the two sisters said the fun part is the competing part.  Belldandy then tells that those two sisters are the very best of friends.

This manga ends with a note from Dark Horse noting that this would be the last of the Westernized translated edition for Oh My Goddess!  After this, the volumes will adapt into the non-Westernized translated edition (reading from right to left).

Oh, My Goddess! - Volume 21: Peorth Is Back!

Chapter 130: The Devil Inside

A "kiddified" Peroth appears in front  of Keiichi's house and the group remembers that it was Velsper who placed the curse on Peroth (see Volume 16).  Belldandy has no memory of what happened regarding Velsper and Peroth finds out that the cat that Belldandy has is Velsper and worries that she's stuck being in the petite form forever

Chapter 131: Go Your Own Way

The three goddesses try to reserve Velsper's curse by coming up with what seems to be a song but is encrypted spells.  Belldandy sings it to Peroth and what happened was that Peroth becomes a giant kiddy Peroth.

Chapter 132: A Goddess Never Forgets

To cheer Peroth up, Keiichi and Belldandy take Peroth to the beach while Skuld and Urd work on finding ways to cure Peroth.  At the beach, Peroth tells Keiichi that it's his fate that he'll spend his whole life with Belldandy, but not vice versa, but that Belldandy will always remember him.

Chapter 133: The Cat That Stretched

Both Urd and Skuld come up with bizzare ways to cure Peroth and make a mess of everything.  Belldandy discovers what Peroth's problem is and what could cure her, but it would hurt her.  Just as they are stuck and Belldandy is not in the room, Velsper comes and speaks to the unexpecting group.

Chapter 134: The Final Option

Velsper reveals that he is able to talk because he placed another curse on himself to prevent his spirit from incarnation.  Even though he can't cure Peroth, but he reveals to the group that the CEO of the Infernal Realm - Hild, the Queen of the Demons.  The only person who is able to make contact with her is Urd, because Hild is Urd's mother.  Urd calls her mother and is told that she's coming right then.

Chapter 135: She's a Devil Woman

Hild comes to Keiichi's house and makes a grand entrance.  In exchange for her reversing Velsper's curse, she wants Urd to come on her side.  Urd refuses.

Oh, My Goddess! - Volume 22: After Her Demonic Mother

Chapter 136: Let's Make a Deal

Urd refuses her mother's deal to become a demon.  Hild revises her offer and asks for Urd to just do a favor for her, instead.  Urd hesitantly agrees.

Chapter 137: Sister Act

Hild proceeds to revert Peroth back.  She requests Urd to sing both demon's and goddess' part of the verses, because she's both a demon and a goddess.  While Hild and Urd sing, Hild upped the demon part, making it more difficult for Urd to keep up.  Belldandy and Skuld both chimed in to help Urd sing.

Chapter 138: Maybe...?

The result of the ritual turned Peroth back to her normal form.  Hild turns back to the favor, and revealed that she wants Urd to call her "mother".  Urd tells the others that even though she felt awed by her mother, she must never love Hild becaue it would tilt her spirit to the demonic side.  Urd doesn't perform and Hild declares what happened was a loan and she will collect the favor.  With a small greeting and giving Velsper to Keiichi, Hild makes a dramatic exit.

Chapter 139: Wicked Game

Hild pays a visit to see Mara and pressures Mara into devising a scheme against the goddesses.  Mara introduces a tea-pot-looking goddess catcher, which will looks like something of desire to the goddesses, that catches goddesses once their lips touch the kettle.  The first victim up is Peroth.   The tea pot looks like a bouquet of roses to her, when she finds them on the hallway of Keiichi's house.  She embraces the roses and then is sucked into the tea pot.

Chapter 140: Morisato Residence, Rooms to Get

Next up is Skuld, who sees the kettle as some rocket-looking gadget.  She kisses it and is captured by the tea pot.  For Urd, she sees the kettle as the Nightingale, the little nurse of "Menzholatum" balm.  Even though she senses that this is Mara's doing, she just can't resist the cute little nurse and gives her a kiss to seal her fate.  Chihiro happens to be at Keiichi's house at that time and sees the kettle as a cute boy and a cute cat on a cute motorcycle.  She falls for them, as well.   The last victim, Keiichi, sees a seductive Belldandy, who's urging him to kiss her.  Keiichi senses something is wrong, but it's so hard to resist...

Chapter 141: Sparkle in Her Eyes

Right before Keiichi is about to kiss the tea pot Belldandy, Velsper intervenes and stops Keiichi.  Velsper then cuddles up to Belldandy and then is sucked into Belldandy right in front of Keiichi.  Realizing that Keiichi is catching on, both Mara and Hild successfully forces Keiichi's lips to touch Belldandy.

Last person up is Belldandy, who sees the tea pot and picks it up and carries it to the sink, along with the tea cups that she is carrying.  She drops the tea pot into hot water and releases everyone who is caught captive inside the tea pot.  Belldandy holds the tea pot in her hand, while everyone sees the object of his/her desire in Belldandy's hands (including the motocycle and herself!).  Urd exclaims that it's a demon spell and Belldandy needs to rid of it.   Belldandy stands there confused.  Velsper tells Keiichi to get Belldandy out of the danger and he did as told.  The three goddesses can't bear to destroy all the desirable objects, so Velper uses his secret power and destroyed the tea pot.  Finally, everyone realize that Chihiro witnessed the whole magical occurence and tries to cover it up.

Oh, My Goddess! - Volume 23

Oh, My Goddess!: Adventures of the Mini-Goddesses

This book itself is smaller than the regular volumes, and in there are 4-panel comics strips.  The goddesses are all drawn in small form and first half of it is Urd only with her own "adventures" during her "vacation" in the kitchen.  She made friends with rats and the comic strips are just about anything that the author thought would be funny, I suppose.  The second half is about how the three goddesses and the rat wants to form a band, and how they select who plays what role.  I personally think that this volume is very weak and I read through the manga really fast so I could move on to better mangas.  I guess you'd have to be a die-hard fan for Ah, My Goddesses to want to read this manga, or maybe the younger crowd would appreciate this more.
