HURRICANE IN MY DREAM
Bushism of the day 235
Saturday, October 1, 2005

I had a disturbing dream today.  There was this huge flood from hurricane and my family and I were trying to stay alive.  Tides come and go and we had to hold on to cables floating on the water so we don't get washed away.  I had Cola in my arm, but I didn't have the leash on him so it was hard for me to hold on to the cable.  Everytime the tide comes, I'd try to keep my nose above the water and hoping that Cola is doing the same thing.  I was so worried that he would drown, and I wondered if he knew what was going on.

We were all heading toward a certain direction and we saw other victims.  One weird one came toward us and looked really suspicious. He/she looked scary, and he kept on looking at this other companion that were walking with us.  The scary guy tried to strangle her while most of the people of the group were ahead of her.  I was the only one who saw and I didn't think I could help, so I thought the guys would.  I managed to yell something to W* and he walked back and tried to stop the guy, but they were under this pile of stuff that W* couldn't see from where he was standing.  I yelled at him to come toward me where the view wasn't blocked.  He quickly saw the woman who was being stangled and headed that way.  The crazy guy saw W* and let the woman god.  Good thing the woman wasn't dead and she was coughing.  Then we kept on walking in silence.  It wasn't a very nice dream.

"I mean, these good folks are revolutionizing how businesses conduct their business.  And, like them, I am very optimistic about our position in the world and about its influence on the United States.  We're concerned about the short-term economic news, but long-term I'm optimistic.  And so, I hope investors, you know -- secondly, I hope investors hold investments for periods of time -- that I've always found the best investments are those that you salt away based on economics."
