MY SECOND BLACK FRIDAY
Bushism of the Day 282
Friday, November 25, 2005

I wasn't sure if I'd be able to go shopping on Black Friday since I'd be in NJ.  Not as many stores around there compares to here.  I was kind of disappointed but then when Mom saw a huge line forming in front of a Best Buy somewhere in Pennsylvania waiting for the 5am opening of the store last night, Mom got excited also and agreed to participate in Black Friday.  Since a few stores are close to our house, we decided to hit them.

It turned out that Black Friday in NJ is better than Black Friday in MD!  We got at Staples at 6am when it opened and there were already people there.  We got everything that we wanted with no problem at all.  Even though there were lots of people there, it was nothing compared to the crowd I saw last year in the Staples in MD.  It worked out great!!  We got two sets of each: 512mb flash drives, 10GB hard drives, paper shredders, unirversal remotes, DVD +R bundles, and a DVD burner.  We also went to Best Buy and Walmart but Best Buy was way too crowded for us to just buy a few DVDs, and got only a DVD at Walmart.  I wanted to go to a CompUSA but we didn't have one near here.  I would've gotten something from Circuit City but I misread the circular because it was unclear.

Anyway, it was fun.  I slept for only 3 to 4 hours for this and was way tired.  After we got home I took a nap, thinking that maybe I'd be attending my high school reunion that night (Nope, not telling which reunion.).  We had a nice dinner (hot pot) and spent the night on video phone with A* the whole night, until really late!!! It was fun watching my little neice being so cute and shy and it wasn't until after a couple of hours and she started talking nonstop.  I ended up not going to the reunion because I wasn't sure what was going on witih the friend who was supposed to go with me and by the time she called, it was so late that I didn't even want to go anymore.  Anyway, the night was still nice.  I just wish I didn't spend the time thinking about going when in the end I didn't go.
