I am not happy to be working today. I am supposed to be still in NJ until after New Year. I am only workin 12 hours this week and I was told that I have to come in this week because "this is the only time in the year that we have time to organize the office". That's really BS because I haven't even been doing much of the organizational stuff because there is alawys new stuff to do, which is more "urgent" than organizing. Also, I can't be the only person who does it AND also the new cases. My boss just doesn't know what's going on in the office and he didn't listen to what I had to say.
I had to give up probably my last long break at home for a little part time job. NOT HAPPY AT ALL. He makes going home not worth the time and money. WTH. The toll and gas alone would cost a big part of the money I will be making for the little time I am working. He wouldn't even consider me making up the time. I am so disgusted with his practice that I don't even feel like talking to anyone at work here today. I think it's not smart of my boss to not grant me the vacation because I have been working very hard for him and do stuff in his best best interest but he sure has lost lots of my loyalty to him. I don't even care if he is reading this because it's all very true. He also wanted the workers to work the day after X'mas, which should be off. Give me a break. He tried to joke with me how come I wasn't here yesterday. I think he ought to stop joking about the same thing over and over. It's getting really old and I know he's at least 1/2 serious about it. No one showed yesterday. Duh. It's not like I have no family to go to during holidays... Why would I want to work for so little money on a federal holiday?
BAH! My supposedly last break ruined by my boss. Nice.
What's pathetic is that we'll be going through this all over again for the Monday after New Year's Day. Sucks to have holidays fall on Sundays because my boss wouldn't recognize make up days.
