Four Event Page Content building blocks

Building Blocks Description
Event Menu: Event Menu is one of the web site options and it directs site visitors to the event page. Event Menu is also a main control of your web site's online event function. You can activate or deactivate event menu at Website Access Options.
Event Category: Event Category represents a grouping consists of a single or multiple events. Category title defines the name for the grouping. When adding event, the event category must be created first. The category block location by default is at the right. It can be configured in System Settings.
Event Literature Event Literature represents a single event item. It consists of event title, event date, event location and other event information. Each event's page layout, desktop publishing and slide show effects can be configured in Event Literature block.
Event Content: Event Content block locates inside Event Literature block. This is where the text or media content is posted. Event Content block contains a WYSIWYG editor that a user can enter data, upload media file and attachment from there.

There is a hierarchical relationship among these 4 content building blocks:
Menu (Highest) --> Event Category --> Event Literature --> Event Content (Lowest)
  • Event Menu contains many Event Categories.
  • An Event Category contains many Event Literature Blocks.
  • An Event Literature Block contains many Event Content Blocks
Every time when an event is added to the site, it will be categorized automatically under New Events, which is a scrolling indicator to catch visitor's attention.

Click Add Category to add a new event Category block.

Click Add Event to add a new event Literature block.

Click Append Content Here to add a new event Content Block.

Click List Events to redirect to event listing page.

Click Printer Friendly Version to retrieve a printer friendly version of the page.

Click Preview This Page to switch to preview mode that allows you to preview the page.

Click Edit This Page to switch to edit mode that allows you to update the page. Click Help to receive support from online help document.

For each building block, the following operations can be performed:

  • Click to insert event category.
  • Click to insert event content.
  • Click to edit.
  • Click to delete.
  • Click to broadcast event to members.
  • Click to post the notes.
  • Click to move up.
  • Click to move down.
